[Not that he's ever really said more than a few words to the guy before. But its been literal years since he and Ash were together now. Jealousy has stopped being a factor for longer than he cares to remember anymore.]

[ it's shameful, but the first thing she thinks when she reads the word distraction is that he's offering her something other than conversation — to fill a different kind of emptiness. and then she feels sick for even thinking along those lines. ]
